“What Happened to My Water??”

“My water tastes different” I said to Jacque after taking a big sip. We were driving away from visiting Kalei and Reynolds at their home in Kea’au near Hilo. As I spoke, a number of thoughts flashed through my head, looking for an explanation from my logical mind. Maybe it was the orange I ate while standing in the yard – all of us girls digging into the fruit from their orange tree, peeling the thin skin and biting and slurping while leaning forward to keep the juice from dripping on our clothes. Sticky and satiated we moved on to meet “Miracle”. She’s majestic, peaceful and grounded. Well, she is a tree after all. But not just any tree. An incredible lacy, huge banyan with immense presence. Wow. I could feel her just standing and admiring her beauty. Kalei invited us to walk up and touch her and ask for a miracle. No need to have any preconceived ideas of what it should be…just ask and she’ll give you one. Jacque and I did just that, as did their visiting friend Melinda. Ahhh. Then we stepped back a bit so we could appreciate Miracle from a different angle. Melinda suggested we all join our sticky hands and we did. Jacque asked Reynolds and Kalei to give us an ‘oli. A chant. I was holding Kalei’s right hand and when they began the ‘oli, I began to cry. Tears steaming down streaking my face with mascara. It kept going and I was nearly sobbing involuntarily. A healing was definitely taking place. Could this be the miracle I had asked for?

The deep joy and resonance I felt from the ‘oli was so powerful. During the chant Kalei removed her shoes and I did the same, directly connecting me with the earth. My eyes tear up again as I write this.

We all hugged when the chant ended and Melinda joked that she’d find me some waterproof mascara. We continued our exploration of their yard and garden which is lush and full of happy plants and trees. Fruit trees and flowering Ohia trees, one with a rare yellow flower. Gorgeous pink haole lehua from which I received several seed pods. I played with sleeping grass with a stick, like a fairy, touching the leaves and putting them to sleep, to reawaken minutes later.

I walked with Reynolds for a bit, learning about the plants and his family before rejoining the women while he walked off alone to a corner of the yard.

Our time was tight so Kalei invited us in to see the house. A true fairly land with angels and spirits abounded with color and light everywhere. Kalei showed us her exquisite artwork and I bought two pieces, “Integrity” and “The Goddess Pele”. Jacque found one that spoke to her. As we were perusing the large selection of Giclee prints, Reynolds walked in and told Jacque and me that in the yard he had been called away by spirit to receive messages for both of us. He told Jacque that she had been a Princess here and would always be able to create through kindness. She is to put a book together for one of her granddaughters. It will be complete this year in three segments and it would be clear to her as each segment was done. As for me, he said I had been a leader (Kalei agreed as she saw it, saying I was a man then), and I am still a leader. He continued saying a boy would come into my life “just like that”. Popping in inexplicably. I would be taken with him because of his kindness. I am to put ten things into a book, a blue book that is for the boy. I am to help men to come fully into their spiritual selves. (I reflected later that my Unicorn story has a boy as a main character and I have wondered why it wasn’t the girl.)

Reynolds shared a few more tidbits with us before we explored the rest of their home. We all hugged and said good bye and Jacque and I got into our van to drive away. I reached down for my half full bottle of water and that’s when I told Jacque something had happened to it. It tasted different. She told me later that she thought I was going to say it was metallic or plastic but when I told her it tasted like flowers, she had to try hers. Her water had changed too and even more exciting, it was a different flavor from mine!! It smelled and tasted like fruit; berries to my senses. We were so excited, tasting and smelling each other’s water that she called Kalei and Reynolds to tell them what had happened.

As we headed back to the Kohala Coast from the Hilo side we had a lot of time to reflect and ponder the day. Jacque’s powers of connecting with her guides have strengthened considerably since I have known her and she was given the message that she and I had created the change in our water. It was to show us that we can create our own miracles. The guides also told her that we needed to drink all the water as it contained elements that we needed in our bodies.

The two hour drive back gave me much time to sip and marvel and know this truly was a miracle. Was it the one from the tree or from me? I finally concluded that it really doesn’t matter as miracles are from the universe and I am grateful for all of mine.

Later I shared this story with a friend of mine and she responded with the following:

“The change in the water came because you came in balance/harmony with nature and yourself you were on the same grid and the veil lifted (you connected). From this connection it is my belief that it is one of the ways to direct access to the Creator’s energy as is the “water path”.” Ref: The Peacegivers, Hawaiian Masters of the Light.
